Welcome to the Grotto!

Welcome to the Grotto, the newest addition to the Hideaway Retro community with some new toys for our Hideanauts... We are now offering photo albums, blogs and IRC-style chat to all of our members and friends...

You will have to sign up to use the Grotto since your normal Hideaway login won't work here... (Your profile will show on the newest members list after you upload a pic.)

We're in the process of testing the chat rooms so feel free to invite your friends if you know anyone who likes to chat... (your friends don't have to be Hideaway Retro members to sign up for the Grotto...) The chat link is in the top menu above and you have to be logged in to chat... (if you're not logged you'll be taken to a blank page...)

If this is your first time here please read this before doing anything.

Recent News

Change to new user sign ups due to spammer - December 8, 2009

Due to some recent spam (it was inevitable) new members who sign up will have limited access to the Grotto.

I will manually upgrade legitimate users to full membership after they upload a profile pic. Your profile pic does not have to be of yourself, you can use an avatar or other picture if you choose. Also, if you do not upload an avatar or log in for a month after sign up your profile will be deleted. This is only for new sign ups from people who have wandered in from who knows where, not for Hideaway members.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I think it is best to stop spammers before they start.

Not a Hideaway Retro Member? That's okay! - September 12, 2009

You don't have to be a Hideaway (retro) member to sign up for the Grotto. Grotto membership is free for everyone and sign up is easy. If you're reading this and haven't signed up yet, go ahead and give it a try. You always have the option to delete your own membership if you decide you don't want it anymore. :)

Photo Albums - September 4, 2009

I'm still trying to tweak the photo albums. At the moment we provide 3 albums and 10 megs of space to store pictures.

If you need another album or if you run out of space please let me know so I can increase it for you. -Suni
