Subject: Just how dumb are some people??

I was at the gas station (busy time of day) waiting in line to pay.... the girl in front if me (late 20s maybe early 30s) asked the cashier to use the phone to call AAA (car problems). The cashier pointed to the pay phones. The girl walked over to the phone, opened her wallet and started looking for change, then tried to butt back in line in front of me so she could get quarters for the phone.

I asked if she was calling the 800# on the back of her membership card, she said "Yes". I told her pay phones don't charge for 800# calls. Her comment was "Oh Really??" (And she sounded VERY surprised!)

I can't tell you how many people in line snickered.... *shaking-head suppressing my own smirk/giggles*
