Well, a grand g'day to all of you lucky enough to be Canadian,
and also to those of you to whom fate has not been quite so generous.

So, this being the big birthday bash (142 years young),
I fired up the backyard grill for the first time this year.
Weather has sucked until now anyway!
Grilled burgers (ground turkey),
on skinny buns with all the trimmings,
my homemade, baby redskin potato salad,
bi-colour corn on the cob,
and Blondie's homemade apple crisp with rhubarb and walnuts,
topped with low fat vanilla ice cream for dessert.
