Subject: isn't it amazing how similar we are?

I'm not begging anyone to make me pay more taxes. All I'm asking is that we get rid of some of the pork that (I believe) the Republicans and conservatives forced upon us.

Specifically, Insurance. Hey, it's a good idea in some respects. Like Automobiles, houses, life. But the thing of it is, insurance is not going to get cheaper. I don't care how many companies you get out there, it's only going to go up. And it's not going to get any better.

In the healthcare industry the only thing health insurance does is to skim off money from us the payer. It doesn't hire medical people, it doesn't hire doctors, or buy machines. It's a waste of money.

We could certainly improve automobile safety by making it harder to get a drivers license. That would be a tiny step with huge improvements to the system, BUT, it's more important for the greedy to make money than it is to improve transportation safety.

When you talk about government ramming things down our throats as if we were children, I understand that completely. I hate that, too. But at the same time I know that what we are talking about is not government so much as it is who we elected to office. (well, who the conservatives elected to office, because it is invariably the conservatives who like to shove things down our throats and treat us like baby children.)

So, Quit electing these dumbassed conservative Republicans and then we can see some change. If we elect conservative democrats, who act exactly like conservative republicans, then we need to get rid of them too, because we know they are going to treat us like children.
