Subject: God bless the kindness of strangersA two year old little girl was with her mother at Walmart when she just lost it and couldn't stop crying. She was tired and hungry and probably wanted that pink toy really, really badly.
This just pissed off the 61 year old gentleman who was shopping in the same aisle at the same time.
He walks over and tells the mother that if she can't stop the kid from crying that he will shut her up for the mother. That's when the man grabbed the kid and started slapping her. He hit her four times in the face and then the little girl started screaming bloody murder. I guess his technique didn't work very well. The man was arrested soon afterwards.
It has always really offended me when someone belts their kid at Walmart but this would piss me off supremely if a stranger came up to my kid and hit her.
I don't like screaming kids anymore than the next guy but this illustrates so well the fact that beating a child for crying will NOT stop the kid from crying because it doesn't deal with the reason the child is crying in the first place.
Now, it will be interesting to see if the law will come up with a punishment that will stop this man from going around and assaulting little children. I sincerely hope so.
